Hyundai offers a variety of options for the Elantra. The Elantra Coupe and Sedan come with a 1.8L D-CVVT DOHC 16V, complete with Continuously Variable Valve Timing. It automatically adapts intake and exhaust valve timing, providing maximum performance no matter how fast you’re going. At low speeds, smooth idling helps to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by advancing the timing.
The Elantra GT comes with a Nu 1.8L 16-valve Engine, which delivers impressive fuel economy and power. This is made possible by the Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (Dual CVVT) and a lightweight aluminum block and head. You’ll get about 7.2 L/100km driving in the city, or 4.9 L/100km on the highway.
