For decades, the name Hyundai has been synonymous with high-end luxury cars and SUVs. While the automotive manufacturing giants have always put an emphasis on luxury, Hyundai has also made sure that every one of its vehicles is equipped with a powerful and efficient engine. Unique Design
The new Santa Cruz is designed to look like a cross between an SUV and a pickup truck. It is suspected to be built using the Hyundai Tuscan platform and will feature four doors and a spacious bed. Instead of attaching a truck bed to the body, like a traditional pickup, the Santa Cruz will feature a unibody design and will look like an SUV that has an open bed in the rear.
The exterior will also feature sleek curves and a low, narrow hood that adds to the aerodynamic look. The small frame helps it to look sporty while also allowing it to have the agility of a sedan. This four-door truck may have a small body but is expected to have a spacious interior that features all of the luxurious and high-tech interior features that Hyundai is known for providing.
There is no word yet on what type of motor the Santa Cruz will have, but it is expected to have a 4-cylinder gas-powered turbocharged engine that will deliver an impressive amount of torque and horsepower.
Instead of a tough and heavy-duty design that is made for off-roading, the Santa Cruz has a more elegant design that is made for a more urban setting and great for cruising around town while hauling all of your large gear that you may not want to put inside of your vehicle.
When will the New Hyundai Santa Cruz be Available?
There is no word yet on when the new Santa Cruz will be available at a dealership near you. Hyundai first unveiled the Santa Cruz concept back in 2015, however, there was an unexpected delay in production. Now, after waiting nearly five years, Hyundai has officially announced that production on the Santa Cruz will begin in America sometime next year. They have even spent over $4 million to expand their plant in America to start production. So, we would not be surprised if we were to see this new sophisticated truck in a Canadian dealership at the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022.
